2the state of Minnesota performing services for this state pursuant to an agreement
3made under executive order number 272, dated January 13, 2009, is considered to
4have the same status as an employee of this state performing the same services for
5this state, and any employee of this state who performs services for the state of
6Minnesota pursuant to such an agreement is considered to have the same status as
7when performing the same services for this state in any action brought under the
8laws of this state.
AB75-ASA1,1841,14 9(b) The department of justice shall represent any employee of the state of
10Minnesota who is named as a defendant in any action brought under the laws of this
11state as a result of performing services for this state under an agreement specified
12in paragraph (a) and any employee of this state who is named as a defendant as a
13result of performing services for the state of Minnesota under such an agreement in
14any action brought under the laws of this state.

21same manner as provided in section 885.07 of the statutes. The attorney general may
22compromise and settle any action specified in this subsection in the same manner as

1(2g) Village of De Forest interest payments. From the appropriation under

3one-time payment of $9,950 to the village of De Forest for interest costs incurred on
4borrowing by the village relating to a department oversight in recertifying the base
5value of the village's amended tax incremental financing district.

AB75-ASA1,1842,10 7(a) In this subsection, "agency" means an office, department, agency,
8institution of higher education, association, society, or other body in the executive
9branch of state government created or authorized to be created by the constitution
10or any law, which is entitled to expend moneys appropriated by law.
AB75-ASA1,1842,17 11(b) Each agency shall review its contractual services contracts for private
12contractors and consultants for the purpose of reducing spending for contractual
13services by an amount equal to 1 percent during the 2009-11 fiscal biennium. Before
14January 1, 2010, each agency shall submit a report to the joint committee on finance,
15specifying either how contractual services spending can be reduced to achieve the 1
16percent expenditure reduction goal or why the agency is unable to reduce its
17contractual services expenditures to achieve the 1 percent expenditure goal.
AB75-ASA1,1842,20 18(c) The joint committee on finance may take appropriate action to reduce each
19agency's spending for contractual service during the 2009-11 fiscal biennium by an
20amount up to 1 percent.
AB75-ASA1,1842,23 21(2u) Local purchases and projects. The department of administration shall
22pay the following amounts for the purposes specified from the appropriation under

10amounts required under that paragraph to be remitted to counties or transferred to
11the appropriation account under section 20.410 (3) (kx) of the statutes, and any
12unencumbered balance in the appropriation account under section 20.410 (3) (hr),
132007 stats., at the close of fiscal year 2008-09, shall be transferred to the
14appropriation account under section 20.410 (3) (hm) of the statutes, as affected by
15Section 313 of this act, except that the total amount of the unencumbered balances
16transferred under this paragraph may not exceed the amount of that deficit.
